Our mission is to provide a nurturing environment where students are guided to develop good study, organizational, and social skills along with practicing responsible behaviors that will lead to their success in academics, emotional welfare and future endeavors.

HELPFUL TIPS FOR STUDENTS

 

Getting Organized is Key

 

·         Choose a time to do homework (preferably at the same time daily)

·         Utilize school agenda

-write down assignments/exams

·         Homework folder – duotang with pockets

-place homework assignments that must be turned in to teacher

·         Calendar at home

-write down short/long term projects

-break down major projects into small parts (assign dates for each part)

·         Clean out class notebooks periodically

-file papers at the end of semester (ask teacher)

·         Place homework into book bag once completed

BE INVOLVED!

 

·         Dialogue with child daily

·         Check agenda book daily

·         Monitor child’s grades on Parent Portal weekly

·         Report Cards – distributed every 9 weeks
